The nature of our universe is similar to that of a supernova. Though it was once thought that a supernova was the birth of a star, in fact, it is the death of a star. In the same way, the “creation” of our universe was really its death. The Big Bang marked the end of our universe and as carrion, we are living off the corpse of our dead host.
Like a small airplane in a storm, the dynamic energy that buoys and lifts the plane in the air is the very same energy that will rip the plane asunder and send it crashing into the ground. In the same way, we live and move in ST which itself is the manifestation of entropy, which will one day destroy all that we know. Thus, “how to stop entropy” is a non-question. Entropy is intrinsic to SpaceTime (ST); ST is its vehicle. Without entropy, there would be no ST and thus no life as we know it. Entropy allows us to live and act. It gives us a dynamic space in which to experience the universe. Without it there would be stasis. But it is also the vehicle of our doom.
Following the death of the universe, some transient energy still subsists, much like the energy and light given off by a firecracker, but it is inexorably fading. ST is the motor of entropy in that it is inexorably moving us toward Ultimate Dissolution.
Ultimate Dissolution will come about when matter is so far flung that even gravity will become irrelevant. Thus, it is not incorrect (though it is unconventional) to say that entropy affects gravity as well as ST and MatterEnergy (ME) because after all, gravity is a property of curved space, yet if space has inflated to the point that curvature is no longer possible, then we can say that it has been “phased out”.
One way of seeing gravity is like a sort of nostalgia for the original unity of the universe. This nostalgia shall itself fade away with time, as the unifying potential of gravity completely erodes.
